Tech Tip - Proportioning Equipment Maintenance
Posted By DEMILEC
The proportioning equipment that is used to process foam and high performance
coat requires constant attention and routine maintenance in order to perform
the way it was intended. One of the many components that require daily
attention is the electrical cabinet.
The exhaust fan, located under the left side of the electrical motor (E-series
machines) is designed to pull air from the bottom of the electrical cabinet
through vent holes located under the motor control and temperature control
boards. Air that is pulled from the floor of the cabinet across the circuitry
of the control boards is not filtered and can have debris that may damage
the control boards and electric motor.
Use very dry, compressed air or disposal compressed air can to prevent
dust from building up on the control boards, breakers, exhaust fan/shroud,
NOTE: Make sure to disconnect electrical from proportioner before opening
electrical cabinet door.
As always read, understand and follow all instruction manuals and warning
labels supplied with all equipment. Only trained and qualified personnel
should perform repairs on the equipment. To access the latest equipment
